TMJ (Temperomandibular Joint)

Dr. Henry was the third Dentist I tried to help alleviate the pain associated with my TMJ.  My symptoms consisted of a clicking sound with pain in the jaw accompanied by extreme headaches.  Most days consisted of pain relievers to help me function through out the day.  Since I have received corrective treatment from Dr. Henry, all of my symptoms are gone.  I could never thank Dr. Henry and his staff enough.  There professionalism and kindness is unsurpassed.  My only wish is that I had gone to them first.

Today you can have relief from your Temperomandibular Joint (TMJ) symptoms such as severe headaches and jaw pain using breakthroughs in Neuromuscular Dentistry. Neuromuscular Dentistry examines the relationship between the jaw joint (TMJ), the muscles of your head and neck region, and the way your teeth bite together. Head, neck, and facial muscles are quite often the source of TMJ pain and headaches that millions of people suffer from.

Imagine being able to return to a more normal routine of business or family life without these life altering symptoms and a dependence on pain relievers.

TMJ Symptoms Can Include:

  • TMJ Joint Tenderness and Pain
  • Headaches
  • Facial Pain
  • Ear Ccongestion/Pressure
  • Vertigo/Dizziness
  • Ringing in the Ear (Tinnitus)
  • Teeth Grinding
  • Toothaches
  • Loose Teeth
  • Receding Gums

Neuromuscular Dentistry focuses on the relationship between the jaw joint (TMJ), the muscles surrounding the jaw, and your teeth. If any of these three components are not in harmony with one another, then the above symptoms can be severe.

Neuromuscular TMJ treatment requires specialized training and state of the art technology to restore the balance between your TMJ, jaw muscles, and the way your teeth bite together. Dr. Henry has the necessary sophisticated computerized equipment such as jaw muscle electromyography (EMG), magnetic jaw tracking, and TMJ sonography in his office to make the proper diagnosis and to proceed on the correct course of treatment.

Dr. Henry has studied extensively with the top neuromuscular dentists in the world and now instructs these principles of Neuromuscular Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) to other dentists. For more information, click on www.leadingdentists.com.
